Wife abondond after 20 years
Lovely was beautiful and attractive. Ravi met her in a gathering of friends on New year’s day. Love at first sight when Ravi got submerged into large size dimples of his girlfriend. They dated for few months and Lovely became wife of Ravi. They were addressed RL pair by friends. Parents and relations didn’t approve marriage in the beginning. Later under wave of intercaste marriage it was accepted. Young couple didn’t bother much as both were earning. Ravi was marketing executive while Lovely was in academics. Both were confident and maintained own friends circles. Ravi was mostly on tours and sought higher position. Lovely was more talented,sharp with better managing skills. She turned into blue eyed employee in institute and became Academic Controller. Ravi faced more challenges seen normally in competitive market. He got posted in foreign country and dragged into free social environment. Lovely never thought anything against and reared two daughters who lived with her. Her mother started living with her after death of father in a road accident while on a business trip. Her burden increased, but mother got settled in changed situation fast. She took charge of two girls and Lovely became more busy in her career development. She got closer to one colleague who was unmarried and devloped relationship.
Ravi was informed by one friend and talked to wife, who termed it as bullshit. Suspecious Ravi was upset and returned back to India. He was posted in far off places and could meet wife with difficulties. He requested Lovely to resign and stay with him. Daughters education came in the way and Ravi was forced to stay single. He turned a boozer and got entangled with socialites who filled up time while using his earnings lavishly.
Once Lovely asked money for admission of elder daughter in a professional institute. Ravi couldn’t meet the demand. Lovely got shore but managed admission of daughter with monetary assistance from her friend and office colleague. Ravi was agreived instead of feeling happy. He was unable to save himself but doubted wife. His mother-in-law died with serious sickness and Ravi didn’t turn up to console keeping busy in business to save own job.
Close friend of Lovely moved to USA and on suggestions of her family and friends. She got a well paid assignment in the same place. She went with both daughters to USA and felt secured with her friend,who was now caretaker of the family. This shocked Ravi and started doubting having extramarital relationship. He got disconnected. His position here in India became vulnerable when he was transferred frequently. At one stage his company merged with a new company. He was offered lower compensation and he decided to seperate voluntarily. He came back to stay with his retired father who loved him most out of five kids. He got a flat in a building built on land owned by his father. He complained about his wife and decided to stay alone. He couldn’t patch up and parents couldn’t force him.
Finally he started living in a rented apartment and invested money to earn interest for living when both mother and father were no more. His nature became bitter. He developed health problems and quit drinking on advice of doctor.
Now he was on self and didn’t want even a relationship to ease life. He tried to pick up a living partner but feared his wife who could sue him to get divorced. Once or twice he tried to connect with daughters who he loved. They also snubbed him for ignoring them since childhood. Ravi thought Lovely poisoned their minds. Two lived happily with mother reported by Ravi’s old colleague living in nearby locality in the city. Often Ravi wept alone but couldn’t muster courage to speak to them even on phone. His friend informed that they considered him dead. Ravi couldn’t find where relationship soured and who was responsible for this. Here he was alone sulking and spending days.
